PAYING FOR ANESTHESIA

Insurance (See listing of participating insurance companies below)

Please note that our private group will bill our services to the same insurance you provided the hospital or endoscopy center. Our bill is separate and distinct.

If you have insurance, our first statement to you will likely indicate that we are awaiting payment from your insurance (initially, the amount due will be $0). The next statement will indicate the amount received from insurance and also indicate your personal balance, if any, that is payable to New Britain Anesthesia, P.C.

Among our contractual obligations with Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurance is the requirement that we bill patients for the portion of the bill that your insurance defines as your responsibility such as office copays, annual deductibles and coinsurance. You can compare our statement to the explanation of benefits you receive from your insurance company to confirm these amounts.

Financial Aid

If you do not have insurance, please contact our office so that we may provide you with a financial aid application.

To the extent possible, New Britain Anesthesia, PC strives to participate in the same plans as The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The following list will assist patients, as they make their clinical plans, and consider their insurance coverage of anesthesia.

Non-Participating plans:

•  NBA will submit a courtesy claim to insurance companies with which we do not participate. After receiving payment, non covered portions of the bill will be forwarded to the patient.

Uninsured:

• New Britain Anesthesia, PC treats all patients regardless of ability to pay. We have adopted a sliding fee schedule based upon income levels of uninsured patients. Patients with need may contact us for a financial aid application.
